The skill AI can't replace.
Comprehend2XL is a free, login-free platform for training reading comprehension across every age and skill level. We're built around one belief: in a world where AI writes the text, comprehension is the most valuable human skill.
The problem
Every day, humanity produces more written text than any single person can hope to read. Models write essays, reports, emails, code, and contracts at machine speed. The bottleneck isn't production anymore — it's understanding.
People who can read carefully, distinguish signal from noise, and act on what they've understood will be the ones who direct AI well. People who skim, scroll, and surrender to summaries will increasingly be at the mercy of whoever wrote the summary. This isn't alarmism — it's the new shape of literacy.
Schools teach reading. Almost no one teaches reading well after the age of twelve. We built Comprehend2XL to fill that gap.
How it works
Pick a level
Five tiers from Sprout (ages 5–7) to Sage (adult). Your progress is saved per level — switch any time.
Read a passage
150 to 1,500 words depending on the level. Topics span science, history, economics, mythology, leadership, and more.
Take the quiz
Five to ten multiple-choice questions designed to test recall, vocabulary in context, inference, and theme — not trivia.
Review and move on
See what you got right, what you missed, and why. Each completed passage adds a checkmark; the rest stay open and accessible.
The five levels
Each level has its own difficulty band, with passages tagged ★☆☆ Easy, ★★☆ Medium, or ★★★ Hard for fine-grained progression.
